The Beginning...

National Safety, Inc. began over a cup of coffee between the general manager and four salesmen from Rice Safety. Rice Safety had been purchased by a large industrial supplier. Our expertise was in personal protective equipment so we set out to form a company that would concentrate exclusively on safety equipment. National Safety set up shop in a 5,000 square foot warehouse in Kent, WA in January of 1995 with the understanding that the customer is the sole reason for our existence. In August of 1996 with a skill saw and a little sweat, we doubled the size of our facility by renting out the adjacent warehouse and cutting a doorway through from one to the other. Over the following years several shareholders were bought out leaving the current president Dick Zugschwerdt and vice-president Ron Johnson. Continued growth allowed us to buy our own facility - a 20,000 square foot warehouse in Kent, Washington that we call home. We moved in the first part of March 2006. 

Today...

National Safety Inc has acquired other safety companies to expand operations to three warehouses and 3 additional satellite offices to service the continental US. We have retained top safety professionals over the years who are experts in the field to provide training, products, support and world class service. Being apart of a 55 Billion dollar buying group has its benefits. It gives us access and preference to almost any brand our customers need. Several major safety product manufacturers have trusted us to become an authorized repair/service center for them such as 3M DBI-SALA, MSA, FALLTECH, MILLER, SAFEWAZE, RKI, BW BY HONEYWELL and MORE. Our skilled repair technicians undergo training and certification to be able to service our customer's products quickly. With the recent printing of our brand new catalog, an advanced new B2B website with customization, vending/inventory management solutions and EDI capability that will set us apart in the industry, we continue to listen to you. We still believe that customer service is what makes the difference between a good company and a great one.
